Hello, there readers! Today is National Coming Out Day, and I figured it would be a good time to share with you something I discovered a few weeks ago...
Homosexuality! In short films! On Youtube! In fabulous 2D!
I stumbled across these after just searcing "short films." It didn't take that much time to find this, well, subgenre of films and get pulled in.
There are many kinds of films, like...
...the stereotypical...
Part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fn8RKNr5Cow&feature=related
This one is probably my least favorite, because it's so cliche. One teen has a priest for a father, and one of his friends is gay, causing his father's disapproval of the friendship. The mother's all protective. The teen comes out to his friend. Then their are bullies, and finally, the teen stands up to his dad. It's not the worst film; it's just the most predictable.
...to the suspenseful...
...to the heartwarming...
This film doesn't have to do with homosexuality, but with helping others to help overcome your own fears. The story here is touching.
...to the nurturing...[PG-13]
Another heartwarming one. It's the story of a boy who lost his parents, and the cousin who raises him. I'll leave it to you to find out how homosexuality relates to all this, but watch out for the ending. You'll be confused or angry, just like I was.
...to the stupidly hilarious...
Oh...my...god...this movie. Tina is one of the BEST characters I've ever seen in the film. I love everything she says and does. Overall, the dialogue of the film is kinda bad, but you'll be smiling by the end. Definitely one of my favorites.
...to the sexually intense...[PG-13]
And that's it! Have a nice day!
