And my new Major is...

So as I've stated multiple times before, I'm currently a chemistry major...but I believe that's going to change.

As I whined about before, Chemistry is kicking me in the butt...especially those labs. I'm getting help from friends, but...it's still really tough. Add that with the fact that I really don't have the sufficient chemistry background...ugh. It's a bit of a headache.

So where am I going to go instead?

Psychology.

I find it fascinating. Psychology is the study of the mind and its functions, or the study of behavior and mental processes. What makes people tick, and how? Why do they think like that? All of these questions can be answered in psychology.

If you're still not getting it, then it's where I "OPEN YO' MIND AND FIND ALL YO' SECRETS!"

But not really...

Looking back at my life, I've always been trying to help people when they need it; to get them to look at the big picture; to try to get them to see a problem in different lights and viewpoints....or at least, that's what I'm telling myself. Take what I'm saying as a grain of salt really.

Another advantage Psych has over Chem: it's fresher in my mind. I just took psych last year, as opposed to two and a half years ago, so I've got a bit of the fundamentals down. Plus, my psych teacher was awesome, even if he "only had a friend once."

This knowledge could be useful in whatever career I end up choosing...

But nothing's set in stone here. I could stick with my chem major if things don't go to crap, or I may join the "undeclared" crowd and explore my options with a more general course schedule. I've gotta ask friends what their opinion of it is, and talk with my advisor. At this point, I really dunno. Keep an eye on the blog and you're sure to find out what happens.

In other news, season 2 of "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" premiered on Saturday, with its conclusion airing this Saturday. It was pretty coo'.
