A Note to Glenbardians (Glenbardenites, Glenbardoans, The Northern Clan of Glenbard?)

Hello. My name is Alex D. And I would like to offer you a big apology.

College. It's sucking my time away. The sad part is, it hasn't really started yet. The REAL work starts next week, but enough about me. We're here to talk about YOU.

It's another year of high school, or college for others, but this post is for the Glenbardines, since I know a bit more about high school than college.

A Public Service Announcement to All Students:


Do your homework, and stay in school. That is all.

To the Freshman:


LOL. Good luck freshies! Watch out for pennies! Buy ur elevatr passes quik or theyll sell out! You cant drive lulz.

To the Sophomores:


Year two, baby! Free from the title of "freshman," you're no longer the scum of the school. The punchline of the joke. YOU'RE INVINCIBLE!

Not really, actually. You're still two steps from being top dawg, but that's okay. I once heard that "Sophomore" means "wise fool," and I can see why. Don't wave any nonexistent power around because you're not at the bottom any more. Take it easy, man. Chill, bro. Keep it cool.

Use sophomore year to further your interests. If you liked something the previous year, continue it. Try something new. You've got plenty of time at the school to do so.

To the Freshman:


Sorry about before. You'll get attitudes like that, or maybe you won't. It depends on the "douchebag factor" of the upper classes. Stuff like that changes every year. For instance, back when I was a boy...I mean, freshman, the upper classes booed us at our first assembly. Thanks for the welcome, [CENSORED]s.

Anyways, welcome to Glenbard! You'll find friends and teachers you'll like and dislike, as well as a whole array of clubs and activities not available in middle school. Explore what looks interesting, or leave it for later. Ya've got four years of the place. Ya might as well give yerself things t'do later.

Oh, and don't be overwhelmed, or be afraid to ask for help. Everyone was new once (even if some people don't remember that...)
